Freelance Software Developer
Who am i?
I am a freelance Software Developer, who is focused on backend, API's, microservices and middleware.
Sometimes, I get the question from people who are not so tech-savvy, what it is exactly that I do in my daytime job.
To which I usually reply that "I let computers talk to each other".
While this is a very blunt and oversimplified explanation, it embodies what I like to do.
In the modern world, we would be nowhere if there weren't any communication between the various systems and services that make up our daily online lives.
Besides the more obvious API-wrangling that I do, I also like to build solutions for various problems.
From full-on data management platforms to simple things to make our daily lives easier, I love a good challenge.
As a demoscener, I sometimes let loose my creative side as well, dabbling in music, digital art, and game development.
You can usually find me at the open hackerspace days at Brixel, where I tinker with Arduino's, 3D printers, ESPs, fancy lights, lasercutters, synthesizers and more.
You might even find me reverse engineering things, just for fun.
Quite possibly while enjoying a cold, refreshing Club Mate.
A small selection of the more interesting projects I've worked on.
A very small (2 levels) sidescrolling platform game made in Godot. Made as a tribute to a demoscene friend of mine, who unfortunately passed away.
A Django-based management and monitoring tool for gameservers. Uses a Redis/Valkey backend for server query tasks. Open-source, available on Github.
Backend for the Django-powered portal for the Little Fluffy Group (demoscene group)
